Celebrities serve ESCAPE for a cause

Founding chairs of the celebrity waiter-themed benefit Joan Schnitzer Levy and Gerald Franklin joined forces in chairing the fundraiser one more time at

Hotel ZaZa Museum District on Sunday April 22 for the 37th annual event.  Greeting the close to 300 guests was dinner chair Kim Padgett and applauding the over $300,000 raised towards the mission of Escape Family Resource Center to keep their vital programs in nearly 80 locations every year and end the cycle of abuse and neglect for children.  The theme this year Escape for a Cause changed up the night with wine pairings for each course provided by Becker Vineyards.

Celebrities mixed and mingled with the guests helping with everything from the raffle, to wine pull and the auction.  The evening was led by Ernie Manouse and the participating celebrities joining in the fun were Lara Bell, Johnny Bravo, Andy Cerota, Michael Chabala, Amber Elliott, Shara Fryer, Michael Garfield, Jeff Gremillion, Courtney Zubowski Haas, Steve Johnson, Todd Ramos, Roseann Rogers, Robert Sakowitz, and Cleverley Stone. 

The Special Honoree was Grammy award winner Steve Tyrell who performed several songs for the crowd to much applause from the packed room.  Steve even had a surprise auction package to come see him perform in Tuscany, Italy in October. Everyone was entertained and the closing of the auction and raffle items had people smiling with their fabulous items as they departed.
